Participate in the Brain Dynamics Lab

Do you enjoy playing games, solving puzzles, or relaxing to a movie? You probably haven't thought about it, but a complex pattern of events unfolds in your brain with every activity! What's more, these patterns are altered by the experiences of our day-to-day lives.

In the Brain Dynamics Lab, we're interesting in how such activities relate to the networks formed in our brains. Our research projects use modern imaging techniques to "see" how the brain accomplishes these tasks, and to track the changes that take place as we learn and grow.

Participating in research can be fun and rewarding! Every participant helps us understand more about ourselves, and answers questions about how our brains really work.

Information for Participants

Research in the Brain Dynamics lab involves a number of non-invasive techniques to explore brain function, including EEG, fMRI, and behavioural measures. A study may involve one or more of these components as will be discussed during initial screening.

Prior to your participatory visit, we encourage you to follow the links below to learn more about the methods relevant to your study. These links include information on what to expect and tips on how to prepare.
